Good Friday made better.

Regular visitors to these parts ever since they first crossed paths with Count Skylarkin on The Wailers UK tour in 2009, Laid Blak have established a reputation as one of the foremost reggae bands in the country, and were recently voted the best reggae band in Northern Europe. Tracks like ‘Red’ and ‘Bristol Love’ have found their way onto national radio to become modern-day UK dancehall classics. Most recently, the patronage of Ed Sheeran has brought the 7-piece to their widest audience yet. Onstage at 10:30 sharp, you really won’t want to be missing Laid Blak.

EARL GATESHEAD (Trojan Soundsystem)
Trojan Soundsystem lynchpin Earl Gateshead has been selecting reggae music for well over 30 years. These days a regular guest DJ at the likes of Fabric and Outlook Festival, Earl earned his stripes playing punk clubs in the 70s, West Indian squat parties in the 80s and tour DJing for the likes of Big Youth and Dr Alimantado in the 90s.

A Bristol legend in his own right, when not writing, performing and producing as part of Laid Blak Bunjy is one of the city’s most sought-after and respected DJs, spinning hip hop, drum & bass and reggae.

Count Skylarkin is a cartoon character. He likes drinking Super Juice and socialising with friends.
