DUBWISER
In existence for more than a decade and once described as ‘the Harlem Globetrotters of the Oxford scene”, it’s surprising but true that Dubwiser have never played at Skylarkin’ Soundsystem – until now. Featuring local rasta legend Jonas, The Upsetters’ Spider Johnson and Madness collaborator Paul Tadman, Dubwiser have supported the likes of The Wailers and Lee Scratch Perry. Expect to hear sides from their debut long-player ‘A Crack In Paradise’ (to be released on September 19th), vibrant roots reggae and heavy, heavy bass.
DAN TENOSHI
Also known (and surprisingly famous in Cornwall) by his Italian alter-moniker ‘Dante Gabriel’, mysterious mash-up merchant Tenoshi returns to Skylarkin’ for a third time to lay siege to The Cellar’s dancefloor once more. Musical credits include playing trumpet for Roots Manuva, jamming with Procol Harum and paintballing with Rolf Harris.
INDECISION
Just back from three months backpacking round South America, it remains to be seen if Indecision will turn up sporting a questionable haircut, a penchant for tie-dye or some “bohemian” facial hair. No doubting that he’ll be well loaded up with dancehall and bass bangers though.
