It’s carnival (in the park) weekend in Oxford. But before you get your shake on with Roots Manuva in the sunshine, get your skank on with us in The Cellar…
WRONGTOM
A Skylarkin’ resident since 2006, the past 12 months have seen our Tom going supernova after universal critical acclaim for ‘Duppy Writer’, his dubwise reimagining of the works of Stockwell laureate Roots Manuva. Now one of the most in-demand producers and remixers in the land, Wrongtom’s DJ sets are never less than thrilling and eclectic, taking in the best of dancehall, roots and heavy bass.

RAGGASAURUS
Oxford’s own, the almighty RAGGASAURUS have reunited after a two-year hiatus. Their unique fusion of dub reggae and ethereal Arabic vocals saw them supporting the likes of Jamaican legend Max Romeo and making waves at festivals around the country before they sadly went their separate ways in the spring of 2009. Tonight all seven members will be onstage – get down early!
COUNT SKYLARKIN
Last seen in Oxford supporting Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, The Count’s reputation for conveying his love of black music via a pair of turntables has seen him DJing all over the country and Europe in recent times. Dancehall, reggae, hip hop, dubstep, garage, jungle all feature in the quick-fire mix.
