Skylarkin’ Soundsystem Goes Bananas
ft Jimmy Screech (Banana Klan), Wrongtom (Big Dada) & Count Skylarkin (Trojan Records)

Friday February 5th at The Cellar, Oxford
9pm-3am… $4 before 10 / $5 after

2009 was a corking year chez Skylarkin, with countless rocking nights across our Oxford and London residencies. HOWEVER, one act that blew the roof off The Big Chill House never quite made it up the M40 to the Cellar’s sticky-floored confines… time to put that right and say hello to the Banana Klan’s JIMMY SCREECH!

Jimmy Screech

Jim Screech is one of THE most exciting up and coming artists in British hip hop and reggae. A regular collaborator with fellow South Londoner Roots Manuva, our ears were pricked last year with the release of Ernest Ranglin-sampling ‘Wood For The Trees’. Airwave domination at BBC1Xtra soon followed with the dancehall-flavoured ‘Scandalous’, while our very own Wrongtom gave ‘Jamaica’ an SL2-esque ragga tip with his rave-flavoured reworking.
